Draw With Depleted Squad
The Ladies welcomed Bedford Ladies to Brundon Lane for a league fixture.
Once again Sudbury were struggling to field eleven players due to an increasing injury list and unavailability.
AFC took the lead after a quarter of an hour when Stacey Teager (pictured) scored from an acute angle.
The hosts had much of the play in the first half but could not convert it into goals.
In the second half Bedford came more into the game and Penny Everett had to make a smart one on one save with the Bedford centre forward to deny her.
Just as it looked as if the home side were going to collect all three points the visitors were awarded a free kick. It was taken hard and low and the ball skimmed off the wet surface and unfortunately Everett could not hold onto it and Bedford reacted quickest to equalise on on the stroke of full time.
The Ladies next game is Sunday in the Quarter Final of the Cup with a home tie against Ipswich Town Ladies Development, the kick off is 2.00pm.
