A Defeat But Players Back

Seven Goals

The Ladies welcomed Writtle to Kings Marsh having defeated them Writtle in the Women's Factions earlier in the season and losing away the league fixture.

For the first time in a long while Sudbury had sixteen players available although four players were returning after injury. There was a welcome return of assistant coach Katie Burrows.

The visitors took the lead after twenty minutes when a header from Becks Chandler didn't reach the keeper and the Writtle centre forward intercepted and fired past the home keeper.

The lead was increased after thirty-five minutes when Sudbury failed to clear a corner and Writtle added a third after forty-eightbminutes when a long ball forward caught the home defence out.

Sudbury were awarded a penalty after fifty-five minutes when Stacey Teager was brought down from behind which resulted in the Writtle defender receiving a red card. Teager scored the resultant penalty.

After seventy minutes AFC added a second when Charley Roach scored from twenty yards but
the Essex side added a fourth when keeper Everett was lobbed from twenty-five yards with ten minutes left.
With time running out Sudbury added a third when Semma Halil scored from six yards.

There is no game on next Sunday as the Ladies received a bye in the League Cup.

The next game Royston away 17th December.
