Six Of The Best
Very Convincing Victory
AFC Sudbury Reserves started this game with a real purpose and intent looking to play on the front foot and putting the Diss defence under pressure.
This fast start resulted in AFC being two goals up inside twenty minutes both through Callum Fuller. The visitors pulled one back following a loss of concentration from the yellows.
However playing some eye catching quick passing football AFC went straight up the other end to add a third through Kie Dyer and a fourth from Callum Watson (pictured) before half time saw the home side comfortably go in 4-1 up at the interval.
A second goal for Watson and one from Panashe Mandawara during the second half saw Sudbury run out comfortable winners over the Norfolk side.
The home sides performance included two under 16’s, goalkeeper Alex Horne and right back Liam Bennett who both acquitted themselves well in adult football. The team also included the three USA bound players Joe Wright, Callum Watson and Ollie Peters who with Dyer controlled the midfield, while the two Callums , Vincent and Fuller worked tirelessly up front.
The back four of AdamDunnage, Jake Colclough, Milo Grimes and Bennett were solid throughout the entire game.
Miky Carrigan, Aaron Pengelly and Panashe all came on from the bench injecting fresh energy to the side in the second period .
The crowd of 128 went away having witnessed a throughly good display of passing football from the young AFC side.
