Great Win Over Experienced Opposition

Held On Well

On a cold afternoon at Sudbury entertained an experienced Holland FC side.

The young AFC side came out strong and dominated the early part of the game. A breakaway saw Ollie Gravett out wide with room to cross and did so and it fell to Nathan Read’s left foot and he placed it in the roof of the net.

Sudbury kept the ball well for long spells of the game. However, after a well placed pass to Holland FC’s forward players and a mistake from the Sudbury’s defence allowed Holland’s striker to slot one into the corner to make it 1-1.

The home side continued controlling the game creating a couple more first half chances but they were narrowly missed by the front players.

The visitors then started attacking more and more to try and get back into the game. A solid display by the Sudbury defence ensured that a clean sheet was kept.

Late on a long through ball saw Nathan Read in on goal once again, but the visitor’s keeper came running out an the shot was rushed and the goal missed.
