AFC Manager Mark Morsley added another part to his Sudbury team jigsaw recruiting an experienced left full back from Needham Market.
Twenty-six year old Darryl Coakley (pictured with thanks to Needham Market) is the player concerened and he has signed a two-year contract with the King’s Marsh club.
Darryl started with Ipswich Town in the Academy before joining the one at Cambridge United and gaining a professional contract with them. He had spells at Bury Town and Mildenhall Town before signing for Needham Market then managed by Mark Morsley at the start of the 2013/14 season. He remained there until signing for AFC making 233 appearances and scoring 10 goals.
Morsley said of his new recruit, “Coaks was my first signing at Needham Market and has been one of their most successful players making over 200 appearances for them. He was a key part of the team I built there and he has all the attributes for the team we are building at AFC. For me I am personally pleased he has joined us as he is not only an excellent full back but a great lad”.
