Ian Miller has become Mark Morsley's latest recruit to AFC and the former Ipswich Town defender will bring some much need experience to the young squad that Morsley is building at King's Marsh.
Thirty-Four year-old Miller had until recently been playing his football with Cambridge City and combining it with working at the AFC Academy.
He started his career in non-League football with Bury Town, then moved into the Football League with Ipswich Town. He also spent time on loan in the lower divisions of the Football League at Boston United and Darlington, before joining Darlington on a permanent basis in 2008. He left there in late 2011 and signed Grimsby Town soon afterwards.
He joined Cambridge United and led the team to a second-place finish and F.A Trophy glory at Wembley. He then played briefly at Braintree Town before linking up with current AFC boss Morsley at Needham Market prior to going to Cambridge City.
He will go straight into the AFC squad to face Haringey Borough at King's Marsh on Saturday.
