With AFC goalkeeper Paul Walker ruled out for probably four weeks with a broken little finger picked up in training on Thursday, Sudbury Manager Mark Morsley has been quick to bring in an experience replacement.
The club are pleased to announce that 24 year-old Jake Jessup has signed on a month’s loan from Chelmsford City and in time for the Boxing Day fixture at Mildenhall Town.
AFC Sudbury would like to offer special thanks to both Rod Stringer and Steve Pitt from ‘The Clarets’ who have allowed this to happen so quickly.
Jessup will make his debut for AFC against a club he signed for in June of this year before transferring to Chelmsford soon afterwards.
He started with Gt Yarmouth Town and then spent four seasons with Lowestoft Town and had a loan spell with Norwich United. Recently he was on loan with Thurrock FC.
He will become the club’s 34rd ever first team goalkeeper.
