AFC made it four straight wins with a 2-0 victory over Waltham Abbey at King’Marsh Stadium, despite missing a last minute penalty.
A first half goal score by Phil Kelly, his third in as many matches set them Sudbury on their way.
The second goal came with seven minutes left with debut maker Darryl Coakley putting in a free kick that Billy Holland (pictured) headed home.
There was a chance to increase the lead in the final minute of normal time when Joe Whight took a penalty only to see it saved by Hugo Rossetti in the Abbey goal.
The result sees AFC climb two places up the Bostik North table to ninth position.
