A disastrous first forty-five minutes condemned AFC to a heavy defeat at the hands of Witham Town that saw them climb above the Suffolk side in the Bostik North league table.
Going in three goals down and not being in the game, the second half produced a better performance but no goals and conceding another from a defensive mix-up set the seal on a disappointing game.
The first goal came on sixteen minutes and wax curled home by ex-AFC man Correy Davidson following a corner. Four minutes later it was two as Robinson touched home after Osadebe was allowed to walk the ball through the Sudbury defence. With only twenty-three minutes gone it was three as a Gyebi shot was deflected past Paul Walker and it was really game over.
There were two changes at the break with Kane Munday and Milo Grimes being replaced by Tyler French and Will Crisell.
The second period saw AFC at least compete better and spent far more time in the Witham half but could not really trouble Mason in the home goal. Reece Dobson took over from Mekhi McKenzie and looked on better form than last time out.
A defensive mix up five minutes from time saw the fourth goal tapped home by Pedulu and the final whistle came as a relief for the AFC supporters amongst the sparse attendance of just seventy-seven.
AFC Reserves won their Thurlow Nunn First Division game at King’s Marsh defeating Norwich United Reserves 2-0.
