Through To Next Round

AFC defeated Brightlingsea Regent for the first time in six competitive fixtures when they comprehensively won 5-1 to go through to the Second Round of the Velocity Trophy.

The home side were two goals up at the break with Adam Mills and Joe Claridge (pictured) with his first goal for the club.

AFC soon netted after the interval with Mills grabbing his second of the game. A fourth came from Ollie Dunlop as he scored his first senior goal for the club. An ex-AFC player George Doyle pulled a goal back for the visitors.

The scoring was completed when Louis Blake was fouled in the penalty area and Mills took the spot-kick to net a hat trick.
