AFC Manager Mark Morsley has been able to get the signature of loan forward Max Booth on a permanent contract after after agreeing an undisclosed transfer fee with Needham Market.
Booth played under Morsley last season with ‘The Marketmen’ and joined AFC on loan last month and has done well with the club and has now signed a two year deal.
Morsley said of his signing “Max is a lad that I gave a first team contract to at Needham after he finished his scholarship in their Academy. I always felt he had a real chance as did Ipswich Town and Colchester United both of whom gave him extended trials. He ticks the boxes for my team, right age and attitude and I believe if he carries on working hard he’ll be come a great player and a real fans favourite. I’d like to thanks our secretary David Webb, the Needham CEO Graham Emmerson and Secretary Mark Easlea for helping us get this over the line in time for tomorrow nights league game against Soham”.
