Rainy Day Defeat In Cornwall

AFC’s run in this seasons FA Cup came to and end a long way from home as they lost 2-1 at a very wet Truro City.

Having travelled overnight, the Sudbury side settled early and took the lead in the fourth minute following a good move Tevan Allen scored.

The rain continued throughout the half and a minute from half time the home side equalised.

‘The White Tigers’ came out strongly after the break and six minutes later scored their second. Try as they could AFC could not get level and six minutes from time the hosts added a third. On the stroke of full time Truro added a fourth to make it the furthest they have ever gone in the competition.

Both AFC Reserves sides were defeated the Thurlow Nunn side lost in the Suffolk Senior Cup 3-0, while the Essex Senior Reserves side lost 3-1 away to Redbridge Reserves in the Cup.
