Reserves sink Sawbridgeworth
A young AFC U17s side showed some great quality and potential as they dominated victory against Sawbridgeworth in the Essex Senior Reserves League lunch time clash. A goal from Nathan Read and a cute header from u16 Liam Bennett sent AFC two up at the break.
Sudbury came out second half playing on the front foot, good rotational work from the midfielders allowed both Bennett and Read to double their personal tallies for the afternoon.
Bennett continued to cause havoc down the right flank and was rewarded late on by winning a penalty from which Nathan Read stood up and calmly finished into the top right corner.
Good solid defensive work with keeper Alex Horne behind enabled Sudbury to keep a clean sheet.
