AFC Sudbury made the trip down to East London for the Essex Senior Reserve game against Redbridge Reserves.

Sudbury started the game quickly when a route one ball caught out the Redbridge defence with Nathan Read latching onto it to poke past the goalkeeper, only for it to be disallowed for offside.

Twenty minutes into the first half and the home side broke the deadlock when a shot, initially well saved by goalkeeper Mitch Potter squirmed out of his grasp and over the goal line. Just five minutes later and Redbridge had a two goal cushion, a curling effort sailing into the far corner, beating Potter from outside the box.

AFC were again quick out of the blocks and got their reward with left back Marcel Walker heading in at the back post from a floated free-kick in from defender Ricky Cornish.

Just five minutes later and Sudbury were level when Jack Graham used his blistering pace to get beyond the Redbridge defence before slotting beneath the goalkeeper to make it 2-2.

However, Sudbury didn't stop there, as just three minutes later Josh Buckles nodded in from close range after another great set- piece from Ricky Cornish.

Ten minutes later Redbridge hit the equaliser when Sudbury goalkeeper Mitch Potter had the ball nicked off him by a player behind him, leaving the Redbridge striker the simple task of tapping home into an empty net.

The home sidebwere back in front when the ball broke down high up the pitch resulting in them scoring on the counter attack.

With just five minutes left the visitors started to push players up field looking for an equaliser. A long ball up field fell nicely for Joe Skillicorn 25 yards out, who struck it well to find the far corner of the goal to claim Sudbury a share of the spoils.
