Well Earned Point For Young Side.

Cold Afternoon At The Seaside

On a very cold December afternoon AFC made the journey to Clacton to face their opponents with two U18s, eight U17s and Will Crisell returning after injury in the starting lineup for this young Sudbury side.

There were very few chances in the first half for both sides but ten minutes into the game Skubich and Hanson combined well resulting in the latter having a shot from outside the box which nearly caught out the home keeper.

Will Crisell looking to gain some much needed match fitness following a wrist injury had a quick snapshot from a close range that forced Holland’s keeper into a good save. The half ended with neither side getting the ball in the net.

The second half started with set pieces in Holland’s favour that the young visitors dealt calmly with. AFC keeper Luca Collins made a number of excellent save to deny the home side and Sudbury saw out the game to secure a well earned point away from home.

AFC Squad- Collins, Altintop, Grimwood, Crisell, Gravett, Munday, Hammett, Hanson, Skubich, Buckles, Erediauwa
Used Subs- Sayer, Pawandiwa
