Narrow Defeat At Top Of Table Side
Table topping Woodbridge Town hosted AFC Sudbury on a cold wet Wednesday evening, memories of last seasons upset meant the young AFC side turned up with high hopes.
Woodbridge dominated possession and Sudbury were on the back foot from early on. The home side were first to strike after good pressure from their forward managed to win the ball high up and then punished AFC with a good finish.
Nearing the end of the first half a fantastic run by Milo Grimes gave Fuller the chance to drive inside putting a dangerous ball into the penalty area that found Mikey Carrigan who done very well to find the back of the net.
Woodbridge came out strong in the second half and both teams were playing good football.
The hosts took the lead again after a well worked quick free kick caught Sudbury sleeping allowing the home side to put it in the back of the net.
Both teams were unable to take any chances after that despite their best efforts, but at the end of the game it was The table topping Woodpeckers who took all three points away from the game.
