Wet Night Win
Goal In Each Half
On a cold wet night at the King’s Marsh Stadium, AFC started slowly in this Thurlow Nunn First Division fixture. However with Kane Munday operating down the left and Ryhs Henry down the right the home side began to see more of the ball. This led to AFC taking the lead after some good play from Panache Mundawarara and Ollie Dunlop the ball found Ryhs Henry out wide and he put in a great low cross leaving the Leiston defender facing his goal and only able to put the ball into the net past his own goalkeeper Fulcher.
After the goal Leiston carried on fighting, and looked dangerous from set pieces putting the ball into Sudbury's box when possible.
Half time:- AFC Sudbury Reserves 1 Leiston Reserves 0
The second half began with AFC playing the ball around comfortably in the Leiston half for long periods. This resulted in a second goal for the home side, it coming from an in-swinging corner from Munday, the ball fell kindly to Alfie Carroll who slotted home.
The was a moment in the second half that pleased everyone at AFC as Adam Dunnage made his comeback from his broken leg sustained in the pre-season USA trip.
AFC comfortably saw out the remainder of the half for a good win and three points.
