AFC Sudbury Under 10's - Match Report

17.02.08 - Cornard Dynamos FC 1 vs 7 AFC Sudbury Reds U10s

AFC Sudbury (Reds Team) displayed some excellent passing football which proved to be the decisive factor (Goal fest!)

Unfortunately, the home side were one player short, so were always going to have an uphill battle but AFC Sudbury players were keen with further substitutes even keener to get on and get a result.

Capt. Fred Standley started the momentum hitting the post early on.

Bradley Young’s had a good game showing his pace to great affect beating many players toward the opposing half.

Daniel Parrott eventually broke the deadlock with a well taken long range shot putting Sudbury in the lead (0-1).

Fred Standley then took control of centre field and from an intercepted pass, controlled ball and scored a fantastic goal (0-2) from outside the area (well worth the wait Gary!).

Following a first half substitution, Sam Hunt came on and made his presence felt immediately, skimming the bar on first attempt but driving the ball home on second (0-3).

Credit also to the Dynamos lads who’s forward scored a cracking individual goal beating a couple of Sudbury defenders and chipping the keeper (1-3).

In the second half, Sudbury domination gained further ground with Jamie Cowley combining with fellow striker Lewis Kindell to score his first of a brace (1-5).

Sudbury keeper, Harrison Critall (M.O.T.M) played exceptionally well in the second half making some brilliant saves and not allowing the home side to gain any ground.

Alex Curran came back into the side from a spell away and showed some great skill on the ball when attacking.

Sam Hunt came on again in the latter stages of the second half to complete his hatrick (1-7), scoring a couple of strong well driven goals showing he is well on the way back to form.
