July 18, 2012 Good Workout At Walsham
Although the game ended in a 0-0 draw at Walsham le Willows, assistant manager Barry Lakin was more than pleased with the teams performance.
Lakin, in charge due to illness to manager Chris Tracey said, “At this time of the season it’s not all about winning. We wanted to work on certain aspects of our game, in being sharp and closing people down and we did that. Our fitness is getting better all the time and the boys have been training well. We were missing a number of key players tonight through a variety of reasons, and we played some youngsters who showed up well. I was happy with how things went. We have another game at Halstead Town on Friday and we will have a chance to put together another part of our pre-season planning in the game”.
