Andy Furnell, manager of Soham Town Rangers, is stepping up his attempts to make new signings after being deeply disappointed with Soham’s display at Thamesmead. 

The Greens failed to come out of the traps and found themselves 3-0 down at half time, with the hosts scoring again in the second period. 

“I wasn’t very impressed,” said player-manager Furnell, “We were in the game at times, but we never got going. 

“We were a bit better in the second half, but it was 3-0 and game over at half time, and it wasn’t good enough. 

“I can’t tolerate that kind of performance and we’ll have to look to bring people in. I’m on the phone making calls to try to solve the problems.”
