January 26, 2012 Forest Get Draw At Grays
Grays Athletic continued to find form elusive as they were held to a 0-0 home Ryman League Division One North draw by Waltham Forest on Wednesday night.
It was a good performance by Forest, who had several players delayed by traffic problems on their way to the game. Even though the kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes they had to make two late changes to their intended starting line-up.
But they gave a good account of themselves and certainly came closest to breaking the deadlock when, two minutes after half-time, Luke Stanley hit a fizzing free-kick from 25 yards which crashed against the inside of a post.
It was Grays’ first point for three games and also their first point for three home games. They remain fifth in the table while Forest stay in 16th place.
