January 24, 2012 Defender Goes Out On Loan
AFC Sudbury central defender Tom Devaux has today started a 56 day loan spell with Ridgeons Premier League side Stanway Rovers.
Devaux who was named as a substitute in the AFC side that won at Cheshunt on Saturday has been out of the side for nearly three months since he picked up a groin injury that required surgery. With the operation a success, he has been on a recuperation programme with the help of AFC physio Tony Brightwell, and has played a couple of times for the club’s reserve side.
AFC Sudbury manager Chris Tracey said “Going to play Ridgeons Premier football will help him regain necessary sharpness needed for the first team and I know that Steve Pitt the Stanway manager will help him also”.
