January 28, 2012 Chatham Manager Happy At Home

Chatham Town boss Kevin Watson says his side’s home form is keeping their Ryman League Division One North season alive.

The Chats face Potters Bar Town on Saturday looking to record a fourth successive win at Maidstone Road.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Watson said: “At the moment things are just not happening for us away from home.

“Thank goodness we have won three in a row at home, playing some decent stuff along the way.”

The Hertfordshire club arrive looking to follow last week’s opponents Romford in doing the double over Chats, having won 2-1 in front of a crowd of just 73 when the teams met in October.

Watson added: “It will be another tough game, as they are doing well and have got some good results lately.

“It is down to us to be ready, physically and mentally, right from the start and not having to chase the game like we did last week, having been 2-0 down in the opening 15 minutes.

“In a way after a performance like that, it would have been better to have had a midweek game to get rid of all the frustrations.”
